Is this light 9 inches tall as the specs show???

No it is not - closer to 5”. I called customer service and searched same fixture on other sites and they all said 9”. It didn’t look like 9 to me so ordered 3 anyways (had only 8” clearance over a door) and they worked perfectly. Great fixtures at excellent price.
