What are the length of the rectangular shade?  Also what is meant by the black forge finish?

We're sorry for any confusion. This Fixture measures 38”W x 17.50”H x 16.75”D -inch and the Shade alone measure 38”W x 12”H x 16.75”D -inch. It features a Polished nickel finish.
