Concerning the height, description says 16"H, overall is 30"H. Is the base the 16" and then with the shade it's 30" for total height?

We are sorry any confusion. An overall dimension of this Table Lamp is 17-inch W x 17-inch D x 30-inch H. Bottom of the shade : 17-inch; Top shade measures: 15-inch; Height of the shade: 10.5-inch.
