What is a Columbus finish? Are the stripes in the lamp red, or an orange-red?

Columbus finish is nothing but type of green finish. The stripes in the lamp is Red-Green.

If width is 8" and depth is 11", which view are we getting?  We have a 9" deep console table and if we put it one way it will fit, but the other way would be to big.  Is there much difference between the two views?

The front portion of the lamp base measures 8.25" wide and the depth is 11" -inches.
