Can the pulley wheel be removed from the canopy and mounted on the ceiling, like swagging a light to change the location?
Without taking my light down and doing it myself it looks like the screw holding up the pulley can be removed to do what you want to do. I really like the lights and get lots of compliments on them. I purchased three of them for over my kitchen island.

Will this light work over a kitchen island with 10 foot ceiling?
Ours is a 9' ceiling and it gives us great flexibility. We have two over an island counter and can drop them to within 12" of the counter to about 30" above the counter, so it gives us great lighting options.

Will this work with a 9' ceiling over an island?
Yes. I have it in a stairwell and it works very well. You can pull it down to change the bulb with ease and slide it right back in place It should work very good over an island.

Will this fixtures work on an angled ceiling?
I do not believe that this product will work with an angled ceiling, due to its design which includes a counter weight and pulley which line up parallel to the power cord from which the pendant hangs.

Can these be installed on a slightly sloped ceiling ?
Given the pulley system, this fixture would be difficult to hang on a sloped ceiling.

Can I adjust the rope to make the minimum higher?
The shortest adjustable height is 39" -inch. Maximum adjustable height is 70-Inches.

What is the minimum hang length of this light? Our ceilings are 9ft, but it looks like this hangs a minimum of 36 inches, which only leave us 6 ft clearance. Can you adjust the cord to make it shorter?

Can this light be used as an outdoor porch light? I would like one near my front door entrance on my beaded ceiling. Also, do you offer a fan that could compliment it as well? Would like to install it about 6 to 7 ft. away. House was built in 1920.
