It's a luxurious accent piece that adds a touch of class to any room. Like any traditional Turkish rug, it has a short pile which makes it very easy to keep clean and also prevents indentations from foot traffic and heavy objects. Overall, the colors are soft and subtle and they noticeably brighten when the pile is brushed up. The colors also magically give the illusion of changing under different lighting conditions and angles. So, it catches my eye every time I walk through the room, yet blends in beautifully at the same time. I'll admit I was unsure of the colors when selecting the rug online. I wanted to have the browns and the beige but I don't have any blue in my house, so I was just hoping it would work out. And it totally did. Just like a good pair of jeans, this indigo denim blue compliments everything. And actually, it sometimes appears dark grey as the lighting changes throughout the day. My family and pets have enjoyed this soft and cozy addition to our home. It really has made my room more inviting and intimate.
