Rated 3 out of 5 by from Limited use Pay attention to the description that it is only compatible with one type of Minka fan. We ordered it anyway because it was only downrod we could find that was 'distressed koa' which is what our new Minka fan is. We have high ceilings and needed a 72" rod. The rod comes with 2 wires already inside the rod. It does not have a 3rd wire. It comes with only one end threaded. So, Minka does not make a long downrod for any of its other products that are 'distressed koa' that we could find. My husband is a mechanic and an electrician. He is going to replace the included wires with the 3 wires that were included with the fan instead (which are long enough). He has a threading machine so he's going to thread the other end. Hate paying the price for this rod when we have to totally reconfigure it. As of today, we haven't decided to reconfigure or return and order just a brown downrod.
