MinkaAire Downrod 18"
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We built a gable patio room and installed a white MinkaAire Fan (included a 6" rod). We purchased the 18" downrod separately to have the fan at the proper height for the patio room. The downrod is sturdy(strong) and well machined (pinholes were correct and threads were also correct). This made for easy rod replacement. It comes covered with a plastic sleeve. We placed extra plastic shrink wrap around the rod to protect it during the installation process. This avoided any nicks or scratches in the rod. It works great and looks great. It matches the MinkaAire Fan perfectly.

good support at Minka central and sturdy strong downrod with all available finishes and lengths all in stock
the fans themselves are overpriced especially for the non-wood blades that appear to be injection mold formed, but the DC motor fans are the most efficient available anywhere. Pay attention to the CFM/watt and do know the ratings are for the highest speed which is least efficient speed. At slower and slowest speeds the CFM/watt efficiencies are close to no electricity at all for their DC motors which now make regular motors obsolete.

Just What I Needed!
This Minka Aire 18" downrod is the perfect addition to my new 62" Minka Aire Roto XL ceiling fan. I have tall ceilings and needed the fan to drop below the ceiling beams. The finish on the rod matches the fan beautifully...and there were so many choices and sizes to choose from!

Extensions for Fan
These are the extending rods for the two fans. Not much to rate, they matched the fans and were easy to switch with the short ones that came with the fans. They were a bit pricey
for the item, an 18 inch threaded pipe.

Well Made, But Unnecessary in My Installation
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There isn't much that I can say about this rod other than that it was well machined and quite sturdy. It turned out that I did not need it after all to mount the fan properly.

Matching Downrod to Volterra Fan
I installed the downrod and fan myself. The paint on the downrod scratched, showing yellow undercoat. I took a brown marker pen and marked over the scratches to cover them up.
