They are well made and good quality for the price. Obviously they last. We like the fact it doesn't shine in your eyes when you walk up yo the door but, lights your way very well.

Very thin metal shades. These were used inside a home. If used outside, they would never stand up for much time at all.

Does the light bulb extend beyond the bottom of the metal shade or is the bulb recessed enough to be covered completely by the shade? I am looking for a lamp that will give light without any direct glare from the bulb.
