Attractive, well made, great value
I bought two of these to replace old carriage lights on the sides of my garage. I was impressed at the build quality and their looks. These provide non-glaring, diffused light which was exactly what I was looking for. I also bought four of the smaller version that was just as well made to match for the rest of the exterior lighting at my house. All of these lights are great looking and a good value for the price. If I'm in the need for lights in the future, I will definitely shop Hinkley first.

Reasonably good build quality and excellent design
There were lots of outside sconces to choose from that fit our design. This was a good choice and compromise of very expensive and cheap options; it's right in the middle. The build quality is pretty good, but the finish applied to the metal occurred after the screws were installed, which made loosening them near impossible without stripping the head. It took real care to prevent that and service the lamp to replace glass panes. That said, it's great that they can be serviced. We bought this medium size one for the front door, and two large ones for each side of our 2-car garage door, and a small one for the side door. The lamp seems to be held well to the wall mount portion without wobbling. Installation was straightforward on an octagon box. Very pleased with these lights, as they add beautifully to our home's overall architecture.

I had no exterior garage lights when i bought this old house. My electrician said that Hinkley is a GREAT light. I also loved that it is from OHIO! He wired for lights and a sensor for dusk to dawn, but my journey to find the right style and price point took some time. These lights checked every box (color scheme, style and even glass color). I am thrilled with the look and the quality. My garage feels finished now.
