Q & A

I will not be hanging this fixture over a table, but over a space where people will walk; my ceilings are only 8 feel high. Can this type of fixture be cut down to a 14 inch height? The work will be done by a professional electrician, of course.

We hung ours directly to the ceiling, not using the ceiling mount and chain. It hangs about 24" from the ceiling. I'm not sure but I think a professional should be able to shorten the bar (cut) down the center but you would loose a lot of the decorative beaded side chain.  Not 100% sure though.
