- Straightforward and economical, this Winsome Wood 42-inch round drop leaf table doesn't skimp on quality: sturdy solid/composite wood construction and subtle tailoring make it a useful piece for years to come. When guests arrive, the table's two leaves fold out to make room for four with a graceful beveled top edge and slender, tapered legs that provide plenty of support without bulk. With just one leaf up, the table works well in small spaces like studios or kitchen breakfast areas. To store, simply put both leaves down and collapse the crossed support rails. The table's light Oak finish is casual and warm under colorful placemats for everyday use or add a linen tablecloth and china settings for more elegant affairs. It measures 29-1/2 inches high and comes fully assembled.

I needed to turn a dining room into a dining/sitting room for an aging parent. This table was ideal. Its a little wobbly when completely folded, but sturdy when open.

Perfect, easy fit!

Easy to set up
I bought this for my Mom's Independent Living apartment. One leaf folds down and is up against the wall, for less obtrusion into the room, but it can expand for a four person card game. It was very easy to put together. It's perfect for her.

The description says “solid wood/wood composite”. What part is the wood composite? Also can it be painted?

could this table be used as a console table when both leaves are down? I cannot tell if it stands on it's own and is sturdy when the leaves are down. Also - what is the weight of this table? Thanks so much.
This table is little less stable when completely folded to 7". You can use the table half folded against a wall. It may has a tendency to wobble without this support because it is top heavy. This table weighs 51 Lbs.
