Standard Beds
The first thing to look at is size. Yes, size matters. A bed should be neither too big nor too small for a given room. Choosing between the different sizes can, however, be a problem. Here is a list of the most common standard beds, broken down into sizes by inches.
Standard Cot - Typically a little smaller than a twin bed, cots tend to measure about 36 X 75.
Twin - measures 39 X 75
Full - measures 54 X 75
Queen - measures 60 X 80
King - measures 76 X 80
Cal King - measures 72 X 84
Once the bed is chosen, it is time to look at comfort. For instance, do you need a four-inch thick memory foam mattress pad? Bellacor has them. Or maybe a set of really nice satin, silk or cotton sheets? Frilly dust ruffles and comforters are also available, as is ultra-sleek and modern covers. Bedding should be beautiful, but it must also be comfortable; both mentally and physically.
Once comfort has been seen to, it is time for style. Throw pillows, throw rugs, small accent pieces and lighting are all essential parts of a bedroom’s style. They help to create the right atmosphere, and can be either helpful or hindrances to rest. When shopping for style, keep in mind the three key points: looks, functionality, and price.
When it comes to something as highly personal as a bedroom, there really is no such thing as a standard bed, except in sizing. Size, comfort and style are all essential elements to the success of any room. Bellacor has them all.
