Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good updated foyer light! We bought this to put in the foyer of a split-level home that needed an updated fixture with easy maintenance. This fixture looks great and doesn't have glass or shades or anything to fuss around with from a ladder. Installing on a sloped ceiling was no problem, and there was plenty of chain in the box to customize the hanging height.

What is the size of the base on the ceiling and what is the weight of The product?

it is a circle at the top and is approx. 5" in diameter. I would guestimate the weight is 5lbs but I don't know for sure.

My kitchen island is 32" W X 97" L. I have a 7 1/2' ceiling. Will 2 of these light fixtures work well with these proportions?

Yes, and it is recommended to choose a pendant at least 12 inches less in diameter than the table’s dimension and mount the fixture 27 to 36 inches above the table. Please contact our Customer Care Department for more assistance with the correct sized Pendant for your requirement.

Is it 14 inches to the top of the triangle? Would I b able to hang it without using any of the chain? I only have 8 foot ceilings. Thank you.

It is 14 in to the top of the triangle. Then there is an additional inch in the diamond at the top that connects the start of the chain. I'm not sure that it would have the same "lantern" look if you couldn't use the chain. It's not meant to be a flushmount fixture.
