It states the overall height of this fan is 16.5".  Is there any way this can be shortened to make the fan closer to the ceiling?

With the included downrod (4.5" length) the minimum hanging height is 16.5" and it can not be further shortened. Please contact our Customer Care Department for further assistance with the shorter downrods available for this Fan.
