Is the chain length truly only 6 inches? I am looking for a total length from ceiling to bottom of chandelier to be about 75 inches.

Can this chandelier be used for an 8 ft ceiling?

If this fixture is hung in a dining room, it would probably be fine. You usually want to hang a light 30’’ above your table.
