Battery not rechargeable from
Wall control contains an internal Alkaline battery
The fan wall switch contains a 12V Alkaline battery (A23) that must be replaced every 2 years. If your fan stops working, you might need to replace the battery by removing the wall plate and cover on the control. For me the wall control no longer pairs with the fan. But the warranty is only for a year.

Most definitely will buy another for outside patio.
Modern features. Great looks. 3 times the airflow In low speed as the one I replaced it with. No chains to deal with. Love it!
