To be avoided
I bought this fan because of the look and I ignored some of the negative reviews thinking that maybe there was an installation issue. It is one of the best looking modern fans out there, but as others have said it has been extremely noisy from day one. Even on the lowest setting it makes a clicking noise that will not go away. You can forget about using it on a higher setting. There seems to be either a major design flaw or a manufacturing defect. It is too bad because otherwise the fan is great looking and moves a lot of air. It would be the ideal fan if they could just make it quiet.

I'm a FAN of this fan !
We bought three of these fans 5 years ago and would do it all over again. Make sure you purchase it from a reputable in town business who honors warranty and backs their product. And make sure it is mounted to the ceiling joists solid and correct.....it makes a big difference.
This is a beautiful contemporary sleek fan that is super quiet and almost unseen! After 5 years, with the same fan in our kitchen/tv room and two in both bedrooms........we would do it all over again.
I looked online today to get information as I am recommending it to a neighbor who wants information on it.

Quite, Simple Fan.
I literally just got this installed yesterday. It's simple and its very quiet. The guy putting it up could not find the screws? Or maybe he needed longer ones? He ended up using a black sharpie to cover the silver screws. I can't tell the difference. Anyway I thought it was a good value. I have spent more money on fans and they are not this quiet. The 52" seems a bit small for the scale of my room. But I also think I am still used to the old fans that were more bulky. My decorator recommended this and she thinks it looks great in the living room. So I am keeping it. Thanks Build.com

Disappointed
This is a sleek, good-looking fan and I had high hopes for it, but unfortunately after installation it never stopped making weird noises. After many attempted adjustments by my electricians, the owner of the electrical company came over and tried everything he could to make the fan work properly. He finally concluded that my fan was one of the very few he had ever seen in his career that had something occur in the manufacturing process that made it just a tad out of balance. He took it down and now I guess I will donate it.

Beautiful modern looking fan
I bought this fan for our master bedroom after buying 2 of the oil rubbed bronze fans for our living room. I was so impressed with the quality for such a great deal. Similar sleek modern fans were hundreds more. And you can't beat the quick delivery!

Terrible air displacement.
Visually the fan is as advertised. Very clean,modern,and minimalistic in a good way. But if your looking for more than a decoration on your ceiling, avoid this fan. Non existent wind movement. Both the electrician and myself were shocked how we couldn't feel any breeze from this fan. We flipped the with the other way to see if that would help and nothing. There's definitely something wrong with this design. Do not purchase.

Grinding noise from motor
I wish I'd read the other reviews before buying. This met my needs in terms of look, size, and price, but the noise is horrible. I ran the fan at high levels intermittently for 24 hours and still weeks later it's noisy. The warranty doesn't cover costs to remove this one and install another, but from the other reviews, it sounds like a replacement would do the same. Very disappointed - I won't buy this brand again.

Not the value they appear but work great
Great fans work really well. But the fact that the switch has to be changed and that’s what is considered remote was disappointing. They look great they run quiet. It was just way more effort to install them because had to buy new plate covers and née switches for the other lights in the multi switch box. Had I known that I would have paid the extra to have true remote controls and not change the switch.
