It is completely quiet and it moves an incredible amount of air. I get compliments from every person who walks in to the house. I was on an international skype conference and after we finished, I received 2 emails commenting on the lovely fan in my house and asking where to buy one. I've had this fan for a year and it is flawless. We reverse it in winter and use it traditionally in the summer. I have since bought 4 additional MinkaAire fans! Please note that this fan has plastic blades (no warping, bending, showing wear, etc.) but no one would ever know it's not wood because the distressed koa wood looks exactly like wood.

Rated 3 out of 5 by highnote from This is the nicest fan I own, but it also came with a hefty price tag. Other than the high cost, my critiques are that you have to use the remote (I would prefer wall switch, and minka's wall switches are not easy to activate especially in a dark room or with my hands full) and even on the lowest setting, it moves a LOT of air. So this fan's "low" setting is the same CFM as some other brand's "high" setting. So there really is no low! Even on speed 1 it still throws 6452 CFM's. That's too breezy for me to sleep with.

Rated 1 out of 5 by CTH from Motor Noise When turning on the fan, the motor made a rubbing metal to metal noise - Reverse or forward. Purchase January 6, 2021 - less than 4 months, use only recently and not use every day - Already broken! First I thought that the fan blade rubbing the metal housing, then I took all of them off and re-install back... still making noise. So, I took all 5 fan blades again and left the motor only. I turned on the fan and there was the noise....

They are very quiet and really moves the air. If you want function and style, I highly recommend these fans. Many many compliments from people when they walk into the rooms. To ensure everything went smoothly, we hired our electrician to install. I’m sure you can install on your own if you are DIY.

Happy with the amount of air it moves. We have two MinkaAire fans and plan to purchase two more. The blade design it very novel and the plastic blades assure no warping, or bending. ) The distressed koa finish makes these blades look like real wood.

However, I have had this one month and have had the electrician come back twice to try to eliminate the clicking noise. He has tried everything but no success. Very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AG from Happy with purchase The fan is very attractive. It's quiet. Airflow from the fan is directed most strongly immediately beneath the fan. To get equivalent air flow throughout the room, it appears that a somewhat faster fan speed is needed.
