I hung them the other way so the shade goes down. I love the look, and the lighting is great with just 3 40 watt bulbs. (can use up to 100 W). I have a traditional style bathroom, and I think these are great, even though they are on the modern side, because they give the traditional look a clean and glam look. The finish is Polished Nickel, which really adds too!!
