Can the bronze on this fixture be spray painted black? Would the paint adhere to it?

can you mount the light facing up and down instead of left to right as shown in the picture?

I used mine in a small bathroom. If you place the light on the side of the mirror, yes. Just watch out for medicine cabinets or other protrusions. I have to say I wouldn’t do it in a small bathroom and it would look better with one on both sides. Personally, I think you could find a better style if you want to hang the light vertically.
