Best Ceiling fan
We bought two of these fans and they work excellent. they were easy to install, they have the look of elegance in the home, and they operate quietly. The blades have to be pushed in until you hear them click in place otherwise you may get that imbalance and think some thing is wrong with the product. That happened when we were installing the first but after reading the instructions again I pushed the blade in harder and heard the click and since then they have been a good breeze

Great fan; quiet motor;ticking noise won't go away
Just to be clear. We love everything about this fan; great wind speed, very quiet motor, very stylish without imposing on the rest of the room.
However, there is a ticking noise that won't go away. I have tightened everything, checked the glass on the light (even removed it so I could get some sleep; to no avail), and still, the persistent, but not stead, ticking continues. Hopefully, I can right this, or I will have to update this review from positive (mostly) to negative.

Great mix of form and function
Bought the Concept II in Mahogany for our 14'x16' bedroom with 7 1/2' ceilings. This is one of the nicest, non-traditional looking flush-mount fans we've seen. Clean lines, no goofy blade brackets. It's super quiet and moves more air than you'd expect from a flush-mount. And we like that it only has three blades, so that when it's off, it doesn't look so overwhelming in the room.And Lighting Direct was great, it shipped and arrived very quickly.

Nice modern looks with one caveat
This is a really nice fan. It has great looks, is quiet, and moves air evenly. It was super easy to install. The blades click in, much easier than fans of yesteryear, and they were balanced almost perfectly from the get go. The only thing I don't like about it is that the fan blades are high gloss and are dust and fingerprint magnets. After installation I had a bear of a time getting the fingerprints off and since then dust gravitates to it.

Great Value!
It took us awhile to find a fan that we liked but once we saw the contemporary style of the Concept II we loved it. We were still a little unsure going just off a picture but LightingDirect assured us we would get a full refund if we didn't like it, the reps were very kind and professional, and they shipped it super quick!
The fan works great, was an easy install, and runs super quiet. Definitely recommend the Concept II and LightingDirect!

New kitchen fan
We ordered this fan at the recommendation of a friend who had purchased 3 of the 42" Minka Aire fans and loved them. We needed a replacement fan for our kitchen. The old fan had 52" blades so we ordered the same size. I was worried that it might be too big for the room but it's just right. We ordered the white as the ceiling and cabinets are white. It's very sleek and blends in beautifully and the absence of dangling pull cords is a definite plus. We're keeping the remote on the window sill so we won't lose it and we're using the wall switch to turn the light on and off. The fan is very quiet. The only disadvantage: it's not as "green" as we'd like because it has a dimmer function and requires an incandescent light source rather than a compact flourescent. Installation took the electricians 20 minutes and they didn't appear to have any problems.

Happy.....happy....happy.
All the preview reviews helped me to make my final selection. Thank you. It’s my first ceiling fan and I absolutely love it. I was looking for a very contemporary style and this one just fits me right. Love the style, love the nickel finish, love the easiness of the hand remote. I also had a wall switch installed just in case one of my grandchildren hide the hand remote I will still be able to control the fan from the wall control. Originally, I was going to have it installed without the light, but since it came with it I finally had it installed with it. Some people think the light is not bright enough, and maybe is not, but I also think that is not intended to be used as the only source of light for the room. I have 4 previous recess lights in my bedroom so the fan light is just not important to me. All in all…..I am very happy with my new fan.

good quality fan
Just purchased and installed this fan.
Pros: really like the oil-rubbed bronze finish, the motor housing and lighting fixture design add to the character of any room, the motor is smooth and quiet, the fan is well balance, and the new hand held remote is an improvement over the previous Minka design.
Cons: fan blades are molded plastic and do not complement the oil-rubbed bronze finish as well as I would have like, installation is simple and straight forward, however the fan motor is heavy and awkward to place over the mounting bracket (took me 4 tries to push over the screws and twist to lock).
Parting thoughts: this fan puts out plenty of air on low speed, and at medium speed pushes more air than many other fans I have used. At high speed, the blade/air noise is too high for my taste, so I will most likely enjoy this fan at the low or medium speeds.

Complete junk from the start!
Terrible experience with this fan from the start...receiver wasn't working properly. Fan would kick in on its own after like 10 mins out of nowhere. Tech support wanted to continue giving me parts replacement only - don't they realize it costs money to keep hiring someone to replace those. After a couple attempts at this, parts finally went out again. I give up...total loss and I won't buy another Minkaire for sure....garbage!

This is a great fan! It is the second one that we have bought. Aside from having a clean line look, it does a wonderful job of moving air. We have the brushed nickel fan in our sunroom and we put the white one in our bedroom. If I need another fan I would purchase again. The fan resolved the airflow issue we were having in one room. It's really nice having the extra light.There is a holder for the remote.

Lights turn back on
I bought fans for three bedrooms in November 2020. We had them professionally installed. They look great and are quiet. But after we turn the lights off, they will go back on - often in the middle of the night. Also, the fan speeds change on their own. It doesn't happen all the time, but often enough to be frustrating. All three fans do this - seems more of a defect with the product.

I have three of the 52 inch and two of the 44 inch models in my home. Easy to install, quiet, really quiet at low speed, at higher speeds the fans wooshing through the air is all you hear, not the motor. Blades are easy to remove for cleaning, this is especially useful in the kitchen and they are dishwasher safe. We are adding a room and I will get another 52 inch for that room too.

Very Good Quality
Bought four fans. Delighted with speed of shipment. Straightforward installation. Needed to reprogram remotes otherwise all four fans would do what one remote told them to. Reprogramming was very very easy - even I could do it following enclosed instructions. The fans seem to be good quality and little or no motor noise. Would definitely buy again.

Very Satisfied
The salespeople were very knowledgeable and helpful. Wound up with this larger unit for my college son's Florida apt. Great light and cooling, the latter especially required even with a/c for the warmer months. Excellent unit with very good craftmanship.
Note: the unit comes with a bulb
Only reason I gave it 4 stars was because of the price.

Attractive fan
Very sleek and nice looking ceiling hugger fan. Put one in our music room and the same one in our bedroom. Quiet and powerful. Only complaint was with bulb in light fixture. It burned out in less than 2 weeks and it was hardly ever on. Have installed a new bulb and hope that will solve the problem. Other than that, we love it.

Love this fan
I love this fan. I had bought the smaller one for my dining room a couple of years ago. Loved the style and amount of air that it moved. Decided that the style would work in my bedroom also. Bought the 52" and it looks and works great. Easy to install. Only took me about a half hour.

All-Around Superb Celing Fan
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Until encountering this fan, I was pretty well disheartened by the poor options in fans that I used to turn to in the 'ole days. It seems their quality had gone down the drain. After reading customers' feedback on the MinkaAire Ceiling Fan. I took a chance and bought one (this is my second one; first, was the shorter-bladed one). As much as I always appreciate my first one's overall "Everything" Superb quality, I wish that my first purchase had also been this size of fan, due to the led lighting. My first fan has the halogen light, which doesn't seem to give out quite enough light. I usually cringe when I hear about LED lighting because of the typical "grey" light. However, this LED is the high-end design that provides bright natural-white light. It is incredible! This fan is an all-around beauty. Nothing to change here. It's too bad the smaller version did't have this LED lighting, too. These are GREAT ceiling fans!!

Terrific Fan
I have spent my way through many fans that just don't hold up. Although the verdict on this one is still not out, as I have only had it for a month, it performs beautifully. It is quietly elegant...looks a bit like the propeller on a WWII airplane.
The light feature is subtle. I would recommend this fan to anyone.

The fan works very well and has a nice sturdy yet sleek appearance. The remote that the fan comes with is easy to use and you do not need a separate wall switch if you do not want one. Thbattery the remote came with needed to be replaced after just one month but other than that, I am very pleased overall.

Look and work great, trick to install
These fans look sleek, run quietly, produce a lot of air movement, and are easy to control with the remote. We installed 3 in small to medium-sized bedrooms with the remote controls mounted to the wall brackets provided.
All 3 were on the same circuit. We installed one and programmed it to work with the remote control. We installed the second, followed the same steps using a different frequency, and ended up programming both to the same remote. We tried various ways of blocking the signal (pans, aluminum foil), none worked. Customer service quickly gave us the solution. The trick is to install and program one, and then disconnect it; then install and program the next to a different frequency, and then disconnect it, ... Once all are hooked back up again, each will be programmed to a different remote.
Other than that, the directions are easy to follow, my husband was able to do the install himself, and the remote is easy to use. Finally, the light is sufficient to light a room or hallway.

It looks great!
Too early to tell about function since the tenant has not yet moved in, but it is a very nice-looking unit. Plus, we have a lot of an older model in our house and we love them! I only wish that more affordable remotes were available because they are dropped and crack every so often.

Powerful, Quiet, Designer preferred!
We installed our fan/light in a foyer to pull up air from basement. It's forceful, yet quiet, looks fabulous and has no hanging lights, bulbs or chains! Recommend the remote control system WC212 for options! We researched intensly before deciding on this one - not disappointed at all!

First fan I purchased was defective but LightingDirect immediately took my word for it and sent out another one. Good service. Fan is very quiet and effective. I looked high and low for a flushmount fan that doesn't hang down too far and this was the best I found.

QUIET, moves lots of air, great in bedroom
We have it in our bedroom. It's so quiet that my husband (a very light sleeper) can sleep with it on low, but can't sleep with the small Monte Carlo in the hallway on low because it makes too much noise. We should have gotten the 44" fan, though. Our mistake.

I bought 5 of these fans around 2 years ago at my other house and of course now at my other house that I'm finishing the remodeling I chose to use the same fans again.
