Unveiling more than just color, the Pantone Color of the Year has emerged as a force for both reflecting and shaping global consumer culture. Now 17 years and 19 colors later – as 2016 famously awarded the top spot to two colors – we have enough information to put our antennae up and try to detect some patterns. While no single pattern goes unbroken, 2017’s Greenery being a great example, some intriguing five year Pantone patterns do emerge.
