I would like to mount this to a 9ft ceiling over a kitchen island. What is the shortest length from the ceiling, including the fixture, in which I can mount it?

Minimum height can be hung this Eight-Light Island Pendant is 40.5-inch. Maximum hanging height: 191.25-inch. The standard distance between a kitchen island and a pendant light placed above it is 30 to 36-inch. The standard distance is usually calculated from the top of the counter to the bottom of the light. You can calculate the distance to the top of the light where it attaches to the ceiling by subtracting the height of the island from the distance between the ceiling and floor.

Item is described as having a "grey wood" finish, but when I zoom in, it looks like an oil rubbed bronze type of finish. Is there a better photo of the finish, or can you clarify the color for me? Thanks!
