Adds interest
Good illumination. I used 60 watt rounded white bulbs as you can see in photo. It adds to the more contemporary/modern look. However I do have it on a dimmer. Like it, not sure how much, because need to change some of the decor. I need to wipe out that granny look to get the full impact of this fixture.

I have the chandelier at the top of my stairs and a different chandelier at the bottom both on a three-way switch. Can I hook this up to a dimmer switch?
I have this light fixture on a dimmer switch in my hall. I don’t know about two light fixtures but if mine works with a dimmer I don’t no why yours would not.

Is the silver similar to brushed nickel?
Yes it is. It almost looks like a frosty, speckled silver.

Is this pendant compatible with a longer rod for a 24 to 30 inch drop?
The Crystorama Solaris 6 Light Chandelier comes supplied with 2 links of chain measuring 72" -inches and an 8" long rod. It does not have a longer rod option for installation.

Can this light be hung without the 8 inch rod? Would it then make the dimensions 8 inches shorter?
I have this gorgeous light! There is a clip, rid and chain. The hanging height is adjustable. Yes it can be hung without the rod. It wouldn't look good flush against the ceiling.
