The gold color is not shiny but rather, more like a rich sublte gold color that mixes well with other bronze finishes in my bathroom. The light bar is long enough for my 48 inch vanity. And the light shades can be reversed up or down. I prefer down simply because the lights do not fill up with dust and I like the light cast downward rather than upward. With 4 lights in place, it's plenty bright. The light bar seems of good quality and it has a classic line design that can fit into many decor choices. I like it!

It was a perfect time as I was waiting to finish my master bathroom with this light. It was fairly simple to wire it up and mount to the wall above the mirror. It is a sturdy constructed light and it brightens the bathroom perfectly.
