I am interested in this fixture.  Does the shade dim the light?  It looks like the shade has gray lines in it, which might make the light appear dimmer.  I want a nice bright light for my bathroom, so any comments you could add would be greatly appreciate

The lights are bright but I also have recessed lighting in bathroom for additional lighting. There are some faint stripes around globe but I dont think it affects brightness. The gray color does not pop out like in the pictures.

what's the dimension from the center of the backplate to the top of the fixture?

The Height from the center of the mounting box to the top of the fixture measures 9” inch approximately.

This is a hardwired wall sconce. The width of the backplate is approximately 5 3/4" W. The diameter of the top portion of the glass shade is 4.75"-inch.
