Which section is 3.125 in wide, there are several sections and all are different widths, one bigger than the other tapering and larger on the bottom and getting smaller towards the top.  What section does this dimension refer to?

The Hinkley Black Post measure 3.125” inch diameter at the top ( fitter diameter) and 10” inch wide at the base.

Is this one piece?

It ships in 3 pieces which connect with bolts to form the post.  The lamp is separate.  The install is not difficult/ pretty intuitive.

Hinlley 115719 Black Post what is the material the is made of? Is it painted or is the color a part of the material? Do the J-bolts come with it?
