The ColtonTeak 2 Person Seater Outdoor Bench is a contemporary look from a classic style design, reminiscent of park benches found in Central Park. Constructed of sturdy 100% Plantation Teak Wood, featuring a natural sand finish. HiTeak outdoor furniture is made from ecologically harvested premium teak, cut from the heart of the tree, which makes it immune from deterioration in weather of all kinds. We start with choice cuts, straight, smooth and free of knots - the best quality available. We control drying by preparing the timber in our factory owned kilns. We use time-honored techniques, including dowels and mortise and tenon joinery. All of our teak products are assembled with 304-grade stainless steel hardware. New Teak has a natural honey golden color. Left untreated outdoors, exposed to sunlight and air, the honey color will soften to a light grey and after several years to a silvery patina, which embodies elegant beauty that improves with age. Occasional cleaning with mild soapy water and a soft brush to remove dirt and surface stains or it can be left with no maintenance at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy and beautiful bench, will last a long time! I bought this bench as it had a similar design to a much more expensive bench that has sentimental value. I ordered this presumably the day it was available for sale...one minute it was a pre-order, the next, it was in stock and ready to ship! Shipping was fast and I kept the box in the house a couple weeks due to the weather. I worried that the bench felt light and shipped so small. I shouldn't have been concerned! In all, the bench assembly only consists of 6 individual wood pieces: the right and left ends/legs, the bench seat, and the bench back, with 2 small triangular pieces to further support the front of the bench. Structurally it goes together using tenons and pins, with additional structural support from a handful of allen-driven wood screws. Assembly took about 15 minutes. Definitely easier with a partner. It has a great solid feel and you can tell from the way it was joined that it will hold up well. I'm a BIG guy so I need heavy duty. This one definitely fits the ticket. Does not feel flimsy at all. It is real teak. You can...smell that it is. Note that the image included here at Bellacor and even on the Hi-Teak website show the 6-foot version, and this is the 4-foot one. So it is a little less wide than pictured. In all, I am very satisfied with my purchase. The bench is solid, went together quickly, and was shipped to me in about 3 days. You can't go wrong!
