Inspired by the rustic beauty of the American countryside and the rustic realism of German antiques, the Elmendorf Nightstand has three drawers, a drop-in felt liner and a cedar-lined bottom drawer. There’s one live USB port and three electrical outlets, and a touch switch located on each side of the case with one light underneath. Finished in a timeworn saddle brown accented by aged black.

All drawers have strong, time-tested English or French dovetail construction, for years of problem-free use. Plywood drawer bottoms are attached to plywood drawer sides for strength and durability. Metal side guides or wood on wood guide systems operate smoothly.

- Finish Description: MULTI: A timeworn saddle brown (BRN) that is paired with an anthracite black with light dusty-wax hang up (BLK) to create a two-tone finish that is as authentic as the countryside from with it emanated. The custom-crafted hardware in an aged pewter finish has shaped back plates and is inspired by hand-wrought ironworks from Texas Hill Country.

Use of veneers enables more decorative looks unattainable with solid wood. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.

This is a fantastic Nightstand. It is extremely well made (which everything from hooker is). I have a hooker desk and bookshelves. My delivery guys brought up the wrong nightstand too my door. When they went back to the truck to get mine, they remarked on how heavy it was and that the other brand felt so light and cheap. This has a light under it that you can turn on/off from the back side by touching a piece of metal. It's a neat feature, but I'm not sure how much I'll use it as I have a light on my stand. It has three levels of brightness and it only goes on the floor so you don't run into it at night. It's also not going to wake your partner if you get up at night. The drawers aren't as deep as my old stand but it's a wide nightstand compared to many others. Having the built in USB and 3 outlet power strip are just what I needed to not have any cables hanging over the side. I just love it and I may be buying the matching chest soon as the quality cannot be understated.
