A beautifuk fan for any room!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fan is absolutely beautiful. I wanted a fan that had a light and fan option in one, and this was perfect for what I needed. It comes with a really nice remote to make controlling easier than ever, and it was pretty easy to install too. The olde bronze color was just what i was looking for in my room with green accents. It does an amazing job keeping the room cool, and it is so easy to use with just a click of a button. Kichler always makes great products, and this one did not disappont.

Quite, beautiful fan!

The install was easy and the brushed finish really gives an updated clean look! The fan has multiple different speeds and is nice and quite even on the highest settings! Its has a very sleek modern look with its brushed stainless steel. It was extremely easy to install and when you turn it on its so quiet you cant even hear that its in motion! Subtly Modern Geno Fan
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced a dark farmhouse style fan with Kichler's Geno 54" fan in a brushed stainless steel finish, updating the look to a more modern, transitional style (and just in general, lightening up the space and making it feel larger). It is a surprising subtle, 'lightweight,' and contemporary look that pairs well with our decor. The integrated light has a frosted cover and looks nice on or off. The light is dimmable, which is great for mood setting and can be controlled with or without the fan, with the included remote. Installation was easy for two 'non-handy' people and would not have been much harder with just one person. (Anyone who has done similar things before won't have any trouble at all. An electrician who was visiting for another reason, mentioned Kichler products are easy to install.) We really like the quietness of the fan as well--it does a great job circulating the air in our dining area without rocking or clunking like our old one did. Our Kichler Geno fan feels high quality and we are very pleased!

Quiet, good-looking, well-built
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kichler has done a good job of showing other manufacturers how it’s done, but is it worth your time and hard-earned money? Let’s find out.
Opening up the packaging box is standard business. All the parts come disassembled, with the screws and instructions set aside to be found first.
The instructions are clear and are accompanied by enough illustrations that, combined with pulling parts out of the box and making sure you know how everything fits, you shouldn’t have an issue understanding how everything goes together.
Assembly is another story though. Setting up the bracket was by no means difficult, but this is essentially the only part of the installation that is not a two person job, so be sure to secure an assistant! (That detail would be good to include on the instructions.) Installing the drop bar and motor assembly was reasonably easy with help, the only challenges really being not forgetting the cotter-pin, and aligning the ball joint with it’s slot so it hangs properly. More on assembly later.
Wiring the fan was like wiring any other fan. Match the colors, add the twist caps, and move on to the next step. This process just included a remote controlled receiver for the fan. The remote control for the fan is indeed, nice to have. However, if you’ve got a switch situation like we did where there’s two switches on the wall, one to turn the fan on and off, and another to turn the fan light on and off, don’t expect to see wiring instructions for your switch-uation. (Switch situation) At most the instructions assume that you don’t have a switchable power supply for the fan, and that it’s just a constantly live connection, since all of the on off work is done with the remote. This isn’t a bad thing, as the remote function is cool, but It would have been nice to see a variety of wiring options, since people have a variety of switch-uations.
Finishing the assembly by pre-building the fan blade ring, and lifting it on to the fan doesn’t have any horrible challenge too it ether, as it’s just a matter of aligning the set-pins and the screw holes, and screwing the blade assembly onto the motor mount. Capping off the fan with the LED light kit is the final part of assembly, and is the only other part that can be done by yourself. The LED light appears to be made very well with a planned long lifespan. My only complaint is that for smaller rooms like the one we have the fan installed in, the LED light does not have a wide enough angle of spread, and therefore leaves the room a bit dark. This could be solved with adding more LEDs to the bulb, and taking more care with the design of the diffuser.
So, is the fan worth your money? I’d have to say yes. It is an excellent fan. The outward design has had a lot of thought put into it, as well as the inside. It is exceptional how good it looks with every screw being hidden from sight one way or another. It almost presents the illusion that the fan is a single moulded piece. The fan moves a decent amount of air even on the lowest settings, and is above all, extremely quiet at any velocity. This fan has so far been, and I expect that it will continue to be, and excellent addition to any room, and will be for anyone.

Tricky install, but super quiet!

Some of the parts were hard to twist Into position. Once installed it’s beautiful. I love the remote, and the dimable options. The led light is very bright, but can dim down to a great level. We are enjoying our home renovation projects, one room at a time. In each room we carefully select the best ceiling fixtures to meet that rooms needs and Kichler products are always our top choice.
This particular room we decided to use a Kichler Geno LED 54” ceiling fan/light fixture in satin black. Wow! It has changed the look of the entire room! The satin black color is smooth and sleek. Very modern and sophisticated. It helps give the room a very sophisticated vibe without being too fancy. Perfect for a teenage boys room!
Installing the Geno LED 54” ceiling fan/light fixture was super easy. We are pretty experienced with installing Kichler products and appreciate the simplicity of the work involved. We always look at the directions first, just to be on the safe side. The instructions are always easy to read and follow and never leave us second guessing the next steps.
Kichler products will continue to be our top choice for all of our ceiling fans/light fixture upgrades as we continue to renovate our home.

Great fixture, questionable switch design
I have owned ceiling fans in my home for many years, use them extensively and finally had to replace one. I chose this Kichler based upon the manufacture’s outstanding reputation. I had the fan installed professionally by a reputable electrician. The fan looks amazing, is a great light source in this medium sized bedroom. As the weather warmed up, I wanted to make sure the fan was spinning in the correct direction to maximize cooling in the bedroom. While the diagram in the owners manual shows that the fan direction switch is on the side of the motor housing (like all my other ceiling fans), I was not able to locate the switch anywhere on the side of the motor housing as depicted in the manual diagram. After further searching, I located the switch on the top of the motor housing. This has to be the most inconvenient placement possible for accessing this important fan function that needs to be done at least twice yearly to maximize functionality of the ceiling fan. This unnecessary inconvenience is the only reason for the low rating, so if that’s not a big deal for you, this is a great fan that works great in a medium sized room, once you climb up to the ceiling to adjust blades to the seasonally appropriate direction.
