Rated 3 out of 5 by SuDoNumb from Disappointing We installed this on our screened lanai on the basis of the reviews here and the fact that the specifications said it could move 5000 CFM per minute on “high”. The other contributing factor was the compact size, we have and 7’6” ceiling height. There is no way this fan moves 5000 CFM. We have smaller fans in our bed rooms that spin at higher RPM and move more air. Very disappointing since we paid a premium for this unit over low cost options. We’ll be looking to replace it soon.

This ceiling fan is absolutely perfect for my home. The installation instructions were easy to follow and this fan was up in a very short time. The low profile made it fit perfectly in the space I wanted, and it gives and understated elegance to the room. The 3 blade design is modern, chic and will add a touch of class to any decor. The remote is made to go into an existing switch socket but it is not hard wired there. It was simply a matter of connecting 2 wires and it was done. The 3 speeds give you the option to cool your room however you choose. The motor is very quiet, so you never notice that it's on. This fan is a great choice for any room in your home!

It's a flush mount so sits close to the ceiling. It has a wall mounted control which is easy to use and looks great. The only problem is that we wanted to try it with the light at the bottom but can't figure out how to get the silver cover off! It does look good with that on, but thought we'd try it with the light to see how that looks too. Overall, very pleased.

We installed this in our living room because our old fan was on its last leg. The fan was easy to install but it did take me about an hour to complete. I’ve installed several fans before and it has never taken that long. The wall control is awesome because you simply push the button for the fan speed. The LED light is bright and it also includes a dimming feature.

It was easy to install, and so stylish. It puts out so much cool air. I love that you can reverse the blades. The remote makes it convenient to use. I really like how you can use the whit globe for light, or place the black globe on it and you won't get any light if you push the light button unintentionally.

Installed this fan in our master bedroom to replace a smaller, older model. Love the modern look of this fan, and the bronze color. The fan moves a good bit of air and is very quiet to operate. The way the fan mounts it sits flush with the ceiling and doesn’t swing when on the highest setting, which is a drastic improvement from our old fan. Very pleased!

The 3 blade design really moves the air. This fan is sturdy and well built. It is extremely quiet as well. It is great that it can be installed in wet locations as well. The light is bright and can be easily dimmed with the included wall controls unit. Overall, this is a great fan and highly recommend it.

I am really enjoying the remote that is installed into the wall. I am too short to pull the fan on and off so the remote was exactly what I needed. While there are 3 fan speeds, they really cool down my room. I recommend reading the instructions before attempting to install. A novice DIYer would be able to install this.

We currently have some high-end elan fixtures, which is a division of Kichler. This fan was suited to be a perfect and elegant compliment to the chrome teardrop lights that we absolutely love. Once the fan arrived though, we noticed that it is labeled as suitable for wet locations. At that point, we knew that we had to use this in our pool area. We have a pole barn with a nice overhang that covers a hot tub and is adjacent to our pool. In the summer, the still air can really keep this area too warm to use. With a ceiling fan, it will help regulate the still air and keep this area more useful. Another reason we felt this fan belonged near our barn is its forward-looking design. One of the hottest trends in antique stores and flea markets is old airplane props. For whatever reason, the fan gives the impression of a vintage airplane prop with a twist towards the future. It's very cool and matches our retro-trendy style. Even though the area was not equipped for a ceiling fan before, it did have an existing light fixture. Because the housing to the light fixture is aluminum and the siding on the overhang is aluminum, it was easy to install this fan. Anyone who has installed a fan before would have no trouble. For someone who has not installed a fan from scratch, I believe the task would be achievable with a little bit of reading and some patience. One cool thing about this fan is that it can be used with or without the light. We chose to use both. We leave the LED light on all the time for security and as a nightlight for those evening hot tub dips. I would buy this fan again without thinking twice. The value is much better than builder's grade product, especially considering the smooth appearance.

The fan has a very modern design and can be used in both outdoor and indoor use. We used it indoor and enjoy its air circulation. We do like the led lighting as it cuts down on our energy costs.

Once again Kichler never disappoints with this Sola Led Fan. Not only is this fan aesthetically pleasing, it’s also very powerful too. What I really like about this fan is that it can be used indoors or outdoors. Currently I have the fan installed in my bedroom and the satin black finish goes with my decor so well. The fan blades and the motor housing shape is designed perfectly. This fan offers you the option of using the light or not. It comes with an attractive cover which looks seamless and it gives the fan a completely different look. The light is also dimmable, plus the fan speed can be easily adjusted. This fans kept me very cool at night and I slept well because it’s barely audible. Overall I highly recommend this fan because it high quality, is designed well, and creates the perfect amount of airflow.

It was packaged well - the fan did not look damaged. After taking it out, I noticed that it is a nice solid fan. It is of good quality material. The drawback is that it does not come with a remote control. It only had a 3-speed wall switch.

Note the wall switch does not get hardwired, that was a minus for me. It's battery operated, meaning you may need an electrician to change the outlet box.

I used this fan to replace my bedroom ceiling fan and light combo. I have no experience hanging or wiring a fan. The instructions were easy to follow and made it a breeze to install. The brushed nickel finish and 3 blade design add a touch of class to any room. It is by far the quietest fan I've ever used. Even when on the highest speed the only thing you can hear is the movement of the air. The design of the blades make this fan extremely powerful. The airflow from this fan is stronger than my old 5 blade fan. This fan also comes with a LED light panel which is fantastic. The LED lights are extremely bright and fill our room with light. And with the longevity of LED lights we will save money not having to buy bulbs anymore. The wireless controller is wonderful and responsive. The controller perfectly mounted to where our light switch sat before. The controller doesn't detach from the wall though. That's the only bad thing I can say about it, and it's not definitely not a big issues.

All fans that I have used/installed in my house were always 4 to 5 blades. I decided that I would give the 3 blade Sola fan a whirl. I must say, I am impressed! It runs smooth, super quiet and has zero wobble while running. The 54” also moves some serious air! The install went pretty smoothly. I love the mounting plate to the junction box to start. Only problem I had with the install was seating the fan body to the mounting plate. The module for the controls was tough to find a good spot to sit in so the fan was flush. After a couple of tries though I managed to get it into place perfectly. The rest of the install was smooth sailing after that. The feature that drew me the most into this model was that the controls for the fan were mounted on to the wall plate for the switch (picture included). I love this feature for 2 reasons. First, it takes all the guessing of pulling a chain and trying to figure out what speed it is on. Second off, my wife is short and it eliminates her having to stand on a chair to pull the chains. Huge plus! Overall, I am becoming a huge fan (no pun intended) of Kichler fans! Very impressed with the craftsmanship and sleek modern look. It is nice to have a fan that doesn’t wobble or need to have the fan blades balanced with weights. Ready to install and run right out of the box! Love it!
