I just followed the step by step instructions and that day had a beautiful center peace to the room. I love the way it looks up there spinning quietly. No wobble or constant clinking sound. Love my new fan even the mail man from the front door gave me a compliment.

It’s a five blade fan which gives off a great amount of air. We changed out an older fan that we had and the entire process only took us about 40 minutes. The fan does not come with a light but one can be added if you desire. The fan is very sturdy and the speed can also be adjusted.

It was well packaged and had good instructions. I had an electrician install it and it only took him a couple of hours. It looks good on my porch. I like that it has counter clockwise direction for a cooling effect and clockwise to circulate warm air. I also like that the blades are reversible from cherry to teak, that it has three forward speeds and reverse, that it has a cool touch control system that has wall control. I also like the burnished antique pewter finish made out of steel construction with five blades. The one I received did not have a light kit with it and I may check into getting one later but it works well on the porch with just a stand up light. It does run quietly and seems to be good quality and circulates the air well. It also has a limited lifetime warranty.

It was very easy to hang only took my husband and I about 45 minutes to put it up. It really circulates the air and has different settings for different fan speeds. It really looks good and makes my room look more elegant. I definitely recommend this ceiling fan!

The wood against the brushed nickel gives a modern but classy look that really works in any room with any decor. Upon opening and getting ready to install you notice that the main ball component is high quality and good metal. The three ply combination on the blades looks like they will hold up well and offer a smooth spin with no noise. The remaining pieces, including the motor all feel good quality. There were no missing pieces and no break in the brushed nickel so everything looked smooth and uniform. Installation was not different then other fans we had no problem getting it put up. After some usage the fan is running well and does sound very quiet. On high there is no wobbling with the blades which is due to the high quality of the fan overall. The pull chain works as it should and it doesn’t feel as if you pulling the fan down when you use it.

Line up the wires to the new fan and then mount it to the celing. Screw the new blades to thebody of the fan and the plate underneath.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never heard of the Kichler brand before and now I have two fans from them and let me say, they are the best!! This monarch fan is so stylish! It goes great with my farmhouse decor! The textured pewter look is awesome and rustic! I ordered the tannery bronze finish and it is absolutely beautiful. It’s a little darker than oil brushed bronze which is exactly what I wanted! This color looks so rich!! My husband had this fan installed in under an hour, so it’s easy to install. We installed this in our bedroom and we use it every night! It is super quiet with no wobbling at all. Even on high! We bought a light kit to attach in the same color and it compliments the fan so well, adding to that rustic, farmhouse look! The control unit was easy to mount, although you can only use it on a single, basic, on off switch. This fan is such high quality and super rich looking that we get compliments on it when people see it!! I am in love with this fan, this color and brand!! Now I just need to change all my fixtures to this tannery bronze color!!

It is whisper quiet with absolutely no wobble, even on high, with no balancing required. It is the smoothest running ceiling fan I have encountered. The brushed nickel finish with the “silver” side of the blades down is a unique combination that has received many compliments from our guests. This fan comes with a 4.5” down rod and enough wiring for a much longer down rod for high ceilings. Installation is straightforward with great instructions. The 5 blade design moves plenty of air. A simple, manual switch on the side of the fan changes the rotation direction for the different seasons as well as a pull chain for the 3 speeds. Kichler offers a wall mounted speed controller as well as Optional Downlights, which the unit is wired for. Overall the fan is pleasing aesthetically with my only criticisms being the small silver plastic plug in the bottom center of the fan. In an otherwise well thought out design, it seems almost like an afterthought. The other being that when you choose the silver side of the blades to be shown, the edges are still the “walnut” color. While it provides a bit of contrast, it may not go with other colors in the room. Not a deal breaker, but something to think about. All in all I am quite pleased with this fan, great addition to our home that I do recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Kichler Bowen 52" Matte White Fan for my daughter's room to cool her off since we have such long and hot summers. The styling is clean and contemporary. The steel trim is gorgeous and the wooden blades look lovely as they glide about. I love that there is only one chain, which makes turning the fan on and off easy. This is such an incredibly quiet fan that you forget that it's on. It's incredibly sturdy and does not wobble. There's a switch on the side of the fan where you can change the rotation of the blades depending on the season. I like the light is optional because my daughter's room is already bright from the windows on the sides of her room. It is super energy efficient as it keeps us from running the air conditioner continuously upstairs. The three speeds are perfect and the medium speed is incredibly powerful (especially compared to the other fans in my house. The only complaints that I have about this fan was installation and the instructions. The wires and anchor are excessively long on the fan - my husband had to trim the wires to get them to fit. It would be easier to have a well organized, detailed, and well placed hardware list with diagrams than preassembly that needs to be disassembled to reassemble. Step 5 (page 4), we were unable to remove the cross pin. It was too tightly installed. We tried removing with a power drill, screw driver, and impact driver - which caused the screw to get stripped. We had to reach out to customer service to get a replacement hanger ball and cross pin. On Step 6 (page 6), there needs to be alternate options for safety cable if the joist screw isn't accessible. Step 9 (page 8) mentioned "pre-installed" mounting screws in the blade bracket, but you have to uninstall it to install, which is a waste of time. There's no detail or instructional guide to remove the motor plane cover and no instruction to replace after. Step 11 (page 9) with installing the switch housing, the additional plugs had connections that were wrapped and banded, but there was no instruction to remove or keep in place. Step 12 (page 10) had backwards instructions for changing the rotation for cool and warm weather. Clockwise is for circulating heat and counter-clockwise is for circulating cool air. Installation aside, this is a gorgeous, high-quality fan. This is my second Kichler fan and it will definitely not be my last!
