I replaced the old one in my half bath with this modern yet simple piece. It’s beautiful and pictures don’t do it justice. Definitely a great option if you are redoing your bathroom. Easy to install and didn’t take much time at all. Instructions were clear and easy to understand. I’d definitely buy this again and I’d also recommend it.

I like the fixture color and the frosted globe. Installation instructions are easy to follow. A one year warranty is ok. I dislike fastening the frosted globe to the fixture with a socket ring because these are hard to remove and especially challenging for a person with larger hands. A 100W bulb max allows for creating a lot of light.

I really like that the bulbs and fixtures are made to point down and allows the light to be just right in my bathroom. The color is very trendy and the light fixture is as well. Overall, I feel that this light fixture is well made, durable and performs well. I highly recommend it!

Unable to install straight, screws were the wrong size, the screw holes all didn't line up, hence it was installed on an angle, with different screws that were not supplied. Hopefully this is just a manufacturing error, I haven't had these issue with Kichler before.

When it was time to finish the bathroom, I didn't hesitate put up the Shailene fixture. The design is timeless and can be mounted either as an uplight or downlight. The opaque glass casts a shadow free light. I received just in time and it is a great addition to my bathroom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dionaea from Beautiful accent; light can face up or down [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although Kichler designed and ships the elegant and affordable Shailene 5" 1-Light Wall Sconce as a wire-in-wall system, I wanted to use it in a specific location as a plug-in light. By changing it to a plug-in light, I can also move it around from wall to wall or room to room if I decide to rearrange the furniture or the artwork on our walls. I had a friend who is a licensed electrician do the conversion, using a plug-in cord with an on/off switch in the cord. The light can be placed with the satin etched glass shade up to bounce a soft glow off the ceiling, which lights up the corner above my recliner and also highlights one of my favorite paintings without harsh glare. The light can also be placed with the shade down for more direct light toward seating and the floor. It is an elegant and useful addition to our home lighting and a top-quality light, worthy of the Kichler name.

All you get is the very small round box mount, which is near impossible to get the light mounted level. Also, all 8 wires are loose, instead of prewired to a pigtail for easy assembly. Anything to save a buck I guess.
