Intensity is as strong as fluorescent light. It seems to cover wide area for light. It has some slight delay in turning on but does not seem to be that great of an issue. The overall installation is not that bad. However, it seems that it can be improved as it was not that smooth. Hope we can put more effort on redesigning to create smoother installation.

Running the electrical all depends on your situation. I am a geek, so I have plenty of outlets and power access everywhere. So for me the install was super simple. I like the light. I would highly recommend the 6U fixture though for the ability to change color temperature and it's finish is a little bit nicer. Not that anyone will see it if you mount it correctly!

Once they arrived, we called our electrician and had him to replace the old ones with these LED lights. Our kitchen looks like a picture from the magazine because of the white light that it gives off now! We are extremely happy with these under cabinenot light and would definitely recommend them to our friends. Kichler continues to make the best quality products.

I love how it is led and it will not be using much power. To me that is exciting! You can barely see my light as my husband tucked it up under a set of my kitchen cabinets. It is a fantastic night light as well, it is just enough light to be able to see down the stairs and into the kitchen safely. My husband only took a few minutes to install it.

Adequate space to make electrical connections and "store" wires behind panels. Captivated screws make fastening to surface very easy. I replaced a faulty 18" xenon unit (other mfg) and this 12" LED unit make more significantly light. My only complaint is the lack of a multi-brightness switch to allow for a lower step of light without requiring a dimmer on the circuit.

I mounted the undercabinet light in my kitchen and have it wired into a wall switch. The light is bright and fits underneath my 1" lip on my cabinet. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a high quality led undercabinet light...not the junk you buy at lowes or home depot.

I found mounting the unit under my cabinets was easy and the fixture was not at all visible once installed. You’d have to be shorter than the cabinets to see the fixture. You can hard-wire the unit to your electric, but I had to order a separate power cord to plug it into my wall. That chord only comes in one size (60 inches) and it was a little too long for my needs and hard to conceal. I would definitely order it again for my under-cabinet needs. The light switch on the unit is easily accessible and it appears easy to expand your system by adding more units, a small cord connects any additional units you’d like to add. It produces a lot of light, which I would say is on the sharper side. It is not a soft light.

It does have to be hard-wired in, but the connections are easy to access and wire nuts are included. I've seen thinner under cabinet lights, so make sure this one will fit and not stick out.
