when using a medium base bulb, E26, how far does the bulb stick out from the bottom of the fixture?

It depends on what type of lamp use. A15, A19, A21, G16 ½ are all medium base E26 lamps in different sizes. If you are referring to the A19, then you will see just the crown of the lamp sticking out. It is around 1-Inch.

The description online says the inside of the lights are white.  Also it is hard to tell in the picture if it is closer to black than oil rubbed bronze.

The Wall Sconce features more of a bronze tone than a dark black shade. The inner portion of the shade features a reflective white finish.

This is listed in 'bathroom lighting' but says it's rated for interior DRY only.... Does this mean it should not be installed in a bathroom?

Sorry for any confusion. This fixture is actually Damp Rated one. You can use this item in Bathroom. It is highly recommended to install the damp rated unit under a covering where water does not leak directly onto the unit.
