What is the width of the base that mounts agains wall or ceiling?
The base that mounts against wall or ceiling is 5 Inch in diameter.

I assume that if I put in a dimmable- LED- medium base-- that this will then this will work fine as a dimmable and I could easily use a 100W equivalent.. since LED..has a much cooler - to the touch - bulb.
Though I cannot be sure, I believe it would work fine.

Does the light include a bracket in order to attach the light to a wood ceiling beam?
