How to Incorporate Bright Colors into Your Home

Decorating with bright colors is an easy way to liven up a space and give it some cheer. Unfortunately, it is also an easy way to ruin the look of your favorite room if you’re not careful. Have you ever walked into someone’s home and instantly thought “what were they thinking?!” More often than not, the culprit of their disastrous interior design was the misuse of colors. Maybe they tried using too many different colors. Whatever the case, it certainly did not leave you impressed.

  • Incorporating bright colors into your interior design can be done, and when executed well, will transform your living space and give it personality. Here are some simple ways to get started:

  • Flame Light for Indoor Bright Colors
  • Accessorize with bright colors

The easiest way to add some life to a room is to decorate with colorful accessories. Whether it’s an abstract painting, a red lamp or a colorful throw pillow, you can be sure that these smaller furnishings will make a big difference. Don’t be afraid to select different colored items. As long as the colors complement each other, they will look great in your room.  Make sure to check out, Jezebel, who handcrafts beautiful pieces of glass and metal lighting, all in the USA.

  • Add a surprising pop of color with bright furniture

If you want your bright colors to make more of an impact, consider a bold piece of furniture like a sofa or table. Because these items are larger, they will instantly become the center of attention in any room. In most rooms, you will want to have only one or two of these larger, brighter furnishings. Otherwise, each piece will have to fight for attention and will have less of an impact.

Go daring and install colorful wallpaper

Just because you ought to be careful with bright colors, doesn’t mean that you can’t still be daring. Install wallpaper with a colorful design on just one of the walls in a room like a mural. Wallpaper on one wall instead of all four will add style to your room without overwhelming it.

If you’re not sure whether two colors work together when decorating, ask for a second or even third opinion. You can even take pictures to get a better idea. After your interior design has been revamped with a brighter look, you’ll never want to go back to an ordinary, neutral color palette again!
