what is the interior height and width of each shelf. Also can the metal legs be removed. I'm need to make the cabinet a bit lower.

The measurement of the shelves are as follows: Top side shelves measure 4.8 in. H x 15 in. W x 15.5 in. D Top middle shelf measures 4.8 in. H x 20 in. W x 15.5 in. D Center opening measures 13 in. H x 20 in. W x 15.5 in. D Cabinet interiors measure 13 in. H x 16 in. W x 15.5 in. D There is no recommendation from the manufacturer to use this TV stand without the legs.
