Rated 5 out of 5 by AtotheO from Beautiful sconce [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kichler’s Alton 1 Light Sconce is the perfect mix of modern and vintage/traditional. The aged brass is just gorgeous and really provides a lot of interest and warm. We placed this next to a door in a stairwell. It is bright given the clear glass but still exudes softness. It was fairly easy to install, the only complications having to do with adding a new light box because we did not have one there before. Would be really easy to swap as a replacement. Kichler makes quality lighting and you can tell the quality just by looking at this beautiful sconce.

They are very regal looking and well made. Solid construction that keeps them in line and installed in the location that you choose. some cheaper light fixtures dont install straight and level and that was something in particular that i was looking for. I would recommend these for any sconce application - they really add a nice touch. was wondering if they are these in exterior damp location grade?

I could not wait to get these sconces installed I am crazy about the seeded glass! The installation was very easy, instructions are very detailed and easy to read. Every thing you need is packaged with the lights. They are a gorgeous addition to my newly decorated bedroom.

The gold / brass stands out and commands attention -- it reminds me of the classic torch held by the Statue of Liberty! The first one lasted less than a year before tarnishing and the second one about the same time frame. Even thought it is rated for a damp location I would not recommend this for a bathroom.

The brass has a sophisticated, old-fashioned feel that I love. Using one on each side of my mirror gives the perfect amount of lighting. I can tell that these are well made and will last for awhile. I had no trouble installing them. The only thing that could make these better would be if they included light bulbs, but I cannot complain. These light fixtures are awesome!
